Elli Antonia Vlachou has studied Architecture in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2015). She subsequently completed her doctoral thesis at the School of Architecture and Engineering of the Technical University of Crete, for which she received a scholarship. She was awarded as a doctor in October 2024. Her doctoral thesis, entitled " The architectural imprint of the Epirotian National Benefactors’ activity during the 19th century - 20th century ", composes the corpus of architectural works that constitute legacies of the Epirote benefactors, in order to contribute original data research to Greek architectural historiography. At the same time, her thesis identifies the role of benevolence as an architectural tool for expressing the ideas of the Enlightenment and also examines its contribution to the Europeanization and urban modernization of the newly formed Greek state. In other words, her doctoral thesis is an attempt to interpret the production of architectural work in terms of benevolence. Since 2010, she runs the construction company "THESPIEUS TECHNIKI LTD", which is located in Athens and undertakes projects in the field of Consolidation, Restoration, Renovation and Enhancement of Monuments and Archaeological sites and Museum Exhibitions. During the summer semester 2024-2025, she teaches as a visiting lecturer at the Department of Architecture of the University of Ioannina in the field of History of Architecture and Management of Architectural Heritage.
