Katerina Christoforaki is an MSc Architect Engineer (NTUA 2010) with a Master’s Degree on Urban and Regional Planning (NTUA 2013) and holds a PhD on Urban and Regional Planning, awarded by the School of Architecture of the National Technical University of Athens.
In the past she has worked as a Teaching Associate at the University of Thessaly (2021-2022) and the University of West Attica (2022-2023), while since the school year 2023-2024 she is teaching at the School of Architecture of the University of Ioannina. In addition, she is also teaching at the Interdisciplinary Post-Graduate Program “Urban and Regional Planning” of the School of Architecture NTUA (2020-).
She is currently working on her postdoctoral research “Prospects of a new urban top(i)ography in the post-Covid era; Uses, network, participation” at the Urban Design Laboratory of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning NTUA, as well as a researcher at the Laboratory of Urban Environment, participating on several research projects both in Greece and internationally.
Her main research interests include the history of the cities and urban planning, the examination of the shaping of the urban landscape, as well as the successive changes of the city structure under the contributing factors of its environment. Main objective is the promotion of a more viable and resilient way of urban planning.
