Niki Founta was born in Athens in 1980.
Her studies have started in Athens, in the National Technical University of Athens, were she graduated in 2005. From 2005 to 2007 she did her postgraduate studies at the University of Florence in Bioclimatic Architecture and Renewable Energy Sources. She is a PhD Candidate at the NTUA in Bioclimatic Architecture Strategies in Traditional Villages. She has completed a postgraduate course at the Athens University of Economics and Business, in Public Policy and Administration, while she holds degrees in Environmental Engineering and Public Relations and Communication (EEDE).
She has worked in the architectural studio Tombazis – Meletitiki and pps engineering studio, while in recent years she has been working as an external collaborator and energy consultant in large offices (Dolichos, jp avax, electromec, Oikos etc).
She manages and is head architect in architectural offices in Athens, Vonitsa and Ioannina (NF eco architects).
Since 2016 she has been a lecturer at the School of Architecture of the University of Ioannina, in the courses of Environmental Design, Architectural Technology and Institutional Theory.
